Butterflies live such a short life and preserving these naturally expired beauties between glass is my way of transforming them again so that they can continue on for many years and be enjoyed. My family has 20+ varieties of butterfly host plants and we continue to help boost the monarch population by planting their host plant (milkweed) where the entire lifecycle takes place.
These stained glass blue morpho diamonds are 2" tall and 2” wide. Due to the handmade nature of these stained glass pieces, slight variations may occur in the color and texture and shape of the pieces. Wing arrangement will vary from piece to piece. Wings are sustainably collected from naturally expired butterflies at a conservatory.
